Stop thinking “what if” and just start - an essay
One of the greatest abilities but also biggest enemies of the perfectionist is that we're able to think.
We get inspired. We brainstorm. We create. We overthink. We stop ourselves. We catastrophize.
We need to learn when to pull the plug. When it shifts from brainstorming to stopping ourselves. From inspiration to overthinking. From creating to catastrophizing.
Do think - get inspired, brainstorm, create. And then - JUST. START. DOING.
Don't think about "what if". If you don't even try, there's no point in thinking about "what if". You don't earn it to think about it. Because it will never be anyway. "What if" implies that it's a possibility. One possibility of a thousands. But only - and ONLY - if you do the thing.
So again - JUST. START. DOING.
Let me know in the comments if you struggle with the same cycle of creative bursts and overthinking and how you’re tackling it.
Love,
Lexie
